Terms and Conditions
At Peel Pet Retreat, we treat every guest like they're one of our own. These Terms & Conditions help ensure the safety, comfort and wellbeing of all pets in our care.
Bookings & Deposits
- A 20% deposit is required to secure all boarding bookings.
- Bookings are not confirmed until the deposit has been received.
- The remaining balance is payable on or before your pet's check-in date.
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations made 14 days or more before the check-in date will receive a full refund of the deposit.
- Cancellations made 7–13 days before check-in will receive a 50% refund of the deposit.
- Cancellations made less than 7 days before check-in, or failure to arrive, will result in the deposit being forfeited.
- Date changes are subject to availability.
Boarding Rates
- Boarding is charged per calendar day, regardless of check-in or check-out time.
- A minimum stay of 7 days applies during the Summer School Holiday period.
Vaccination Requirements
- Dogs must be up to date with their C5 vaccination (or veterinary equivalent).
- Proof of vaccination must be provided before arrival.
- Peel Pet Retreat reserves the right to refuse entry if vaccination requirements are not met.
Health & Behaviour
- Pets must arrive in good health and free from contagious illness.
- Owners must disclose any medical conditions, medications, allergies, behavioural concerns or special care requirements before their pet's stay.
- Peel Pet Retreat reserves the right to refuse admission or end a booking if a pet displays aggressive or dangerous behaviour that may place staff or other guests at risk.
Medications
- We are happy to administer most medications at no additional charge, provided they are clearly labelled and accompanied by written instructions.
Emergency Veterinary Care
- If your pet becomes ill or injured during their stay, we will make every reasonable effort to contact you or your nominated emergency contact.
- If immediate veterinary treatment is required and we are unable to contact you, you authorise Peel Pet Retreat to seek veterinary care on your behalf.
- All veterinary expenses incurred during your pet's stay are the responsibility of the owner.
Assumption of Risk & Limitation of Liability
- While every reasonable care is taken to provide a safe, secure and enjoyable environment, boarding animals involves inherent risks, including illness, injury, escape, stress-related conditions and, in rare circumstances, death.
- By boarding your pet with Peel Pet Retreat, you acknowledge and accept these inherent risks.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, Peel Pet Retreat, its owners and employees will not be liable for any illness, injury, loss, escape or death arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control or from the ordinary risks associated with boarding, provided reasonable care has been exercised.
- The owner agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Peel Pet Retreat against any claims, damages or expenses arising from their pet's behaviour, including injury or damage caused to other animals, people or property.
Personal Belongings
- Owners are welcome to bring their pet's bedding, blanket or favourite toy.
- While every reasonable care is taken, Peel Pet Retreat cannot guarantee the return or condition of personal belongings.
Check-In & Collection
- Please arrive during your agreed check-in and collection times.
- If you expect to be delayed, please contact us as soon as possible.
Multiple Pet Bookings
- Families with multiple pets are welcome.
- Triple occupancy requests are assessed on a case-by-case basis and are offered solely at the discretion of Peel Pet Retreat, taking into account the size, temperament and suitability of the dogs.
Photos & Social Media
- We love sharing photos of our furry guests!
- By boarding with Peel Pet Retreat, you consent to photographs and videos of your pet being used on our website and social media platforms unless you advise us otherwise.
Acceptance of Terms
- By submitting a booking request and leaving your pet in our care, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
